Atop a lofty craig, far is my view,
Of sky, mountain, and river blue.
There old memories flood into mind.
Questions answers, I need to find,
Watching my life play in review.

At first good thoughts parade anew,
Then dark issues begin to brew.
Too many, too fast, they're all entwined,
Atop a lofty craig, with thoughts astrew.

I close my eyes and think of you.
Of all the love we both once knew.
I know you were my life defined,
For naught can break this loving bind.
With heavy sigh, all thoughts withdrew,
Atop a lofty craig, far is my view.

How very pretty. Sad, but pretty. I like the idea of being on the crag high above it all.

how beautiful...makes one know somehow that all things come to pass, full circle..and that in a spiritual realm of energey we will return...to a place undefinable.
To love with another's well being in mind, is the ultimate gift.

Fantastic write and a pleasure to read.

thank you, it is a most beautiful and serene place, that I attend quite frequently, at least until winter sets in....when I get a new digital camera I will take some pics to share... E S West

Sky  touched
Echoing
In a demand
We fly

Enjoyed your words

I too once had a spot, upon rock cliff over looking valley - front of my property.  I'd go there to think, to breathe, and to sing very off key tunes

Enjoyed this-

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
