What's it going to take to open your eyes so that you might see and finally realize... tis not the truth that hurts... it's just the painful lies that remain dwelling beneath your lying eyes??? You reminded of an Eagles track - not your words but the Lying Eyes title and some words from it. City Girl seems to find out early Have to open every door with just a smile Rich old man she wont have to worry She'll dress up all in lace go in style Late at night a dear old house gets lonely I guess every form of pleasure has it's price Dave |

Yep . . . say's it all. Not all of us lie though, thank goodness, or at least I think most of us try to keep them brilliant white at worst. I think most lies come about, not so much because they may cause pain to the receiver, but to avoid the hurt the sender his/herself may receive, or the embarassment at having been caught, or the like in lesser forms. Lies are self-motivated, not protection motivated. I preferrer facing the music (in most cases anyway...hee, hee), and have prided myself on not lying to those close to me in particular . . . although in hindsite, onece or twice, a lie may have been better in the long haul.
