starving buy of time
to find a hide
beyond
the hands
pressing ears shut
in years.

choose
to stage
the rage
violent decision
crushed in deaf smiles.
the feel
no guilt
remedy for the waist
belongs to mediocre eyes.

taken
by the purple wings
of the wait
flat demanding taste
and nothing more.

Your words -- any of them, not just these -- leave shapes in the mind, shades and balances that sometimes take on a kind of intent that is entirely separate from the internal meaning of your poem. It is as if you had shared the energy of your own mind, direct, without translation into the stult of words.
