she said she was gay
I asked if she was
she said not really
was just her name
and she didn't know why
her mother thought
it was special

said she was once
for a few weeks
after harold
and the divorce
left her with little don
and a hatred for men
but she got over it

in time and they are fine
for dumb animals
I said it would have been
a waste if she were
she asked for who
I said for dumb animals
pretty smart she said

and can I do some tricks too
