I did this for a dear elderly lady one year. She was so surprised. I bought large jars, the one with sunshine I put smiley faces on it then filled with her favorite cookies (lemon) homemade of course made with real butter.
Wrapped it in colorful paper and put a string of blinking lights across the handle.
So if you run out of ideas on what to give a person give them A Basket Full of Love.
Hugs BonBon

Basket Full of Love

The pretty basket sitting empty
along the side of the
quiet country road was so inviting -
My sister, Betty Lou, says,
“Lets fill this basket with love
and give it to someone We Love.”
“How?” I say.
First lets dust and clean so it will look brand new.
Second lets draw apretty picture with
lots of colors and smiles.
Third lets fill the basket with wild flowers
and sunshine.
Fourth fill with bubble gum and tootsie rolls.
Fifth fill a jar with hugs and kisses
so it can be opened when someone is feeling sad.
And if
they listen real close and put their ear to the
jar they will hear “We Love You.”
As we give them the basket we will say.
“This is our gift to you a basket full of love.”

Bonnie

Strange you should write this.

Talking today about an Aunt and someone know for 40 years not being treated with dignity.

Jean said she take a back room, I said a pump up bed and sleeping bag in the study but we are just compsensating for the diginity they should have the right to.

regards

dave
