As the almond tree touched by the
breath of Saint Francis...

I lie in your embrace.

"Speak to me of God..." He whispered to
the tree.

The tree spoke in flowers that
blossomed in the barren
scape of winter.

"Speak to me of God..."

Your fingers whispers as the
breath of Saint Francis.

And in the depth of a winter that
parts only to your touch...

I do.

Again, I find myself in pause between the lines.  You have a knack for creating just the right soft thought and opening it in just the right spaces by using the form you do.  Does that make sense?  In any case, it is always a pleasure to read your marvelous
poetry.

A wonderful and glowing and sensually soft write. I loved it so much and wish I had written it. St. Francis and St. Clare are my favorite saints who speak to me in many ways. This being one!

hugs and smiles, Marti

Somehow this strikes me as very sad...
and I know it by the sting in my eyes...

it's beautiful, Ericc.

Sad, and beautiful.

A moment such as this, so very tender, shared between two people is sacred.
Beautiful.

A tremor of delight is my response to this awe inspiring poem, dear Eric.

Exquisite!

I love you.
