Dear God,

yes,
it is me again
...I know
I keep bothering you
but lately I just don’t
seem to be able to
accept my disappointments
and you think
I am strong when
I am so very weak
and it is not that
I don’t trust you
I just wonder
if anyone is listening
when I am speaking
I keep reaching out
but far so short of the edge
a finger tip’s distance
maybe it is
my own fault
in needing so much
more to believe in
but my soles are still
burning from fires
that I walked through
with my eyes wide open
and then to walk backwards
in steps taken blindly
in wanting my own way
to regain my balance with
skinned knees and elbows
and I try so hard
to understand heal to toe
and if it’s not
too much to ask you
could you please
get back to me
for I need your help

just some words cut out
from the diary of my heart

I believe I was uttering those same words... not but one day ago. Thanks for writing this. It helped me feel like I was in good company.

I love the touch - superb.

The thing about the quality of people writing here is that it makes you think and want to try something new.

Getting myself into something again, can I?

You finally get to heaven and St Peter said "sorry we are unavailable, please leave a message and we will get back to you, if the meantime we will play you some music", please press 1 if this is urgent, press 2 if you are more than one, press 3 if you have no insurance, press 4 if you have attended church recently, press 5 if you still feel you are alive, press 6 if you must, press 7 for alternative heaven, press 8 for a list of recommended restaurants, press 9 for hell.

You may of course hang up but we will be there tomorrow, waiting for your call.

And when it's needed, He'll carry you through. Peace...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

a perfect example of how we act out like children, ever though we are adults, wanting what we want, when we want it...and yet, the truth be known, perhaps in many cases, what ever has happened isn't bad for us at all, but...instead, a duel blessing?

Marvelous write...giving the reader much room for thought

Hi Helen: God will answer your prayers but He gives us what we He knows we need, not what we want!

I will reach out and hold your hand and pray along wih you.

Hugs, Marti
