Lonely soul tainted with lust within his shell of sorrow Which came with birth amongst this cruel world His beauty swirled within ever-changing light Two goddesses swooping for his affection through eternity Caressing moon with her pale skin of romance Brushed against the softened features of him Spouting a rosebefore his very eyes Beckoning him away from man created light Into the coldness, chill of the cool night air of passing dreams. The wildness that is of him surrounds his very essence Mother earth once his homeland once more No need for the feeble minded inventors of new ages Held within the arms of twisting vine on his bed of soil At peace falling asleep drinking from the bottle of desire Wishing to stay with the goddess of night forever more Goddess of light awaking his hatred once again “Why oh why he cries do you torment me so Let me stay within the night’s cold chill For your heat whips at my skin draining me whole Till I faintly crawl into your arms of rest” |

Outstanding in the imagery you have intertwined within this poem. Certainly a powerful write as he labors. |

You have such a wondrously creative and vivid imagination which is perfectly illustrated through your poetry. This was a compelling read! Good to read you again, Lee! Linda |

I liked the other-world feel of this and the re-telling of classical mythology. Very nice write, my friend. enjoyed. |
