A Bad Rolex Day

He met Jo Jo in
a disco on a
Saturday night.

He took her home,
they drank his best
bottle of cognac
and then he turned
off the lights.

In the morning
his Rolex was
gone and she
was gone too.

He took a cold
shower for half
of an hour,
what more
could he do.

That following Friday
Jo Jo showed up
at his door,
saying whatever
you gave me last
Saturday night,
I want some more.

This went on for
the longest time.
Days, weeks and even
months flew by.

Everytime she came over
he knew just what to expect,
not once did he mention
his missing Rolex.

Then he came home one day
and the Rolex was back
but she had left a card
saying she wouldn't be.

He wondered why life was
always turning out this way.
He could live without the Rolex,
but he wanted her to stay.
Needless to say, it was
a bad Rolex day.

Damn, I hate it when life does that to us.

Enjoyed JamesMichael

Well I see you doing...
What I try to do for me
With the words from a poet...
And a voice from a choir
And a melody... nothing else mattered

It's funny how it happens that way.
