sung to the tune in your head

he was smoke and mash whiskey
rode in on a big black steed
drank with the finest saloon girls
to quench his insatiable need

she was night in black velvet
hiding behind secret walls
practiced her song in pink lamplight
and longed for the gentle man’s call

his holster contained a big gun
he fingered the mother of pearl
black leather boasted his swagger
he knew he’d get his girl

she let him play her piano
in the music room of her dreams
now he orchestrates all of her soul ohhhhhhs
and she dances in berries and cream

they didn’t ride off in the sunset
but they might steal the day with a kiss
or passions unveiled in the moonlight
to capture a moment of bliss

No End

great rhythm and flow
lively oater scenes

could see the whole scene
even the parts left to the minds eye,
i.e. saloon doors swinging
ruffles and lace

J.D. and jiggers
and boot spurs
pock-marking
old wooden floors
stained with spitoon
target practice
three sheets to the wind

hehehehe

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

No end.... is the the best way to remember
and a pretty nice place to be.

Happy ever after is a thing of the past, I do believe!!
(Ah heck, that's just me blowing smoke from my jaded pistol)  Ha!!

Good on ya, Kahlil~  *enjoyed*
