Fantasy takes the edge |

Staring at words wishing them away from reality. Fantasy takes the edge off of the chill of mourning but does not heat up the day when it unwinds itself so far. To sit and wait for the warm touch nearly breaks the too-tempered heart. Want is not enough. Heed the rush of the wind as it spins tales of what-ifs and what could-have-beens knowing all too well ‘twas but fantasy perceived as reality. But, oh it felt so good and I never wanted it to end yet at some point on the circle it all re-connects, and the sense of it remains sheltered within even as the view feels itself on the outside seeking the softness of within. |

Sounds like the most safety lies within us. I think that is true. Good job!! Ken Through rubble and trouble and dark of night |

James, Mojo, thank you! Yes, Ken, 'the safety zone' tends to be within. Sometimes I spend too much time in that end zone. LOL |

yet at some point on the circle it all re-connects, ~*~ The wonder of this is its title... for without a little fantasy, with reality biting us as it does, we would all lay bleeding, nothing more than humanoids... sometimes, I think it is fantasy, that allows us art. Kacy? I watch the lines you walk, always so very glad in my heart that you take many paths. Such a gypsywoman... and one I admire very much. |

Thank you, dear Nancy! Karilea, what a heart-hug of a reply. It's so true, fantasy can be a refuge in the storm, a safe way to handle emotional short-circuits and overloads. THANK YOU, for being here. |

ES, guess we all have our moments when we live more in fantasy than reality, for whatever reason. Thanks for stopping. |
