Through passageways of forest trees Silhouettes of long sun fingers leaning Toward colors of atmospheric eyelids Waking… Like shift workers, hanging a seasonal calendar Stillness furred around the edges, but Focusing As Night steps down cradling White shirts of loud genesis light… Signaling the beginning of another end Land mirror expressions Floating with open mouths of Downward falling smiles Great steeples spinning incantations Right angle glue pots heating Patches of discoloring leaves swaying Making ready to scatter Cooling gardens Feathery lines, slightly yellow Time of autumn canvas Soon bare arm trees glint a Horizontal premise with one more year Waving good-bye to warm climate Speaking of harvest song Like a waking dream pouring toward A gratified desire that waits… Painting pictures, inside the mind of vineyards With ornamental clarity of style Nature’s bold trumpet of Indian Summer |
