Through the window
heaven is crying
tears assail my world
delicately painted florets stretch to drink
they are paltry and weak
our garden is dying

He says he misses me
the velvet of my mouth
the blue in my eyes
he doesn't know they've turned to gray
I am tired
longing just to suspend my consciousness

Nothing can release these haunts from me
so articulate his pen
weighing every word
vividly depicting his passion and all of his beautiful dreams
I told him not to waste his youth on me

I wish for his poetry to die

On the edge of  a corner
in a frame of glass
protecting the drip of water
from the inside
explored a ripple
building itself until a torrent
testing the seal
of the frame
we look through

I liked your words

regards

Dave

It is a terrible thing, to say something that is not meant. Especially if the words are love words. I hope that they turn true for you.

Sad but beautiful, I loved every single line.

"Poets are all who love, who feel great truths, and tell them; and the truth of truths is love." --Philip James Bailey
