~*~
As summer is almost gone
the cooler days will soon be here
Bringing with them vibrant color
as days of Autumn gently appear

The leaves will be turning
colors of orange, red, brown and gold
We will take a stroll of leisure
peacefully down a country road

Perfectly with the painting of colors
softly blending, nature seems
As leaves make soft, rustling sounds
where scurrying animals complete the scene

Oh Ethel

you have reminded me why I love Fall....beautifully done, and so good to see you hugsssss

I don’t want the world to see me
cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s made to be broken I just want you to know who I am

Perfectly with the painting of colors
softly blending, nature seems
As leaves make soft, rustling sounds
where little animals complete the scene

You have my imagination running with the little animals.  Very pretty.   It's good to
see your name again, Ethel!

Another one of nature's beautiful seasons.
I never know which one I love the best.
Spring coming in with a new gown of fresh greens and flowers peeking out their noses from the thawing ground.
Summer hot and radient with flashing colors and warming sun healing the tired soul.
Fall this glorious season of colors and aromas of many tastes.
Winter dressed in a snow white gown of sparkling ice and lace.

Lovely picture and beautiful poem.

They are colorful until time comes to rake but I do like the crunch underfoot. You give a nice feel for autumn's gold.
