When the sun sets and night insists you descend into a sorrowful abyss, I don’t have the words to say it’s alright to wander alone in the dark and perceive in the shadows a monster grotesque bedecked in your very own clothes. I don’t have the words to say it’s alright to lay blame at your own doorstep and not wrap up your life in recycled paper and tie it with string of forward thinking. I don’t have the right to tell you I know If I never have felt your pain deep down in the pit of my soul that shivers in fear and propels heartache to the surface of my awareness. And I’m not yet entitled to know who walks through the shadows of grief but I do have the right, my God given right, to decide what I want to say from what I know deep down in the pit of my soul. From there where a rose retains its petals and green is the grass in year-round weather I choose only to say, “Please just know deep down in the pit of your soul I love you today, tomorrow, forever”. |

Thank you, Margherita, for the read and for commenting. I guess only powerful emotions allow for powerful expression - something like that I suppose. |

Hi, LeeJ. Thanks for the read. Well, the core of "my" soul is in a bit of a whirl as a result of the emotion of ... excitement first and then, I don't really know - perhaps dismay. |
