Open me up,
and flip through my pages.
Are you hooked? Are you ready for me to reel you in?

Who am I, that I could walk away.
From Destiny and Tranquility.
Let them carry on, like there was nothing I could do.

Read past the lines,
Read between the lies.
Read past what doesn't quite add up.

Let me apologize,
let me grow and learn,
Let me run, let me walk,
Help me find my wings to fly away this time.

(fly away from the torrment of a broken heart)

And if I try,
Will you recognize my attempts?
For flying has never been easy
And seldom accomplished
Without repeated effort.

Gravity is undeniable
And even less forgiving.
To be both feared
And respected.

But face your fears
and take the chances.
Let me help you try again.
This could be a long struggle,
But you cannot soar
Until you learn to fly.

Peace...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

It is a sad poem, Kellie, when one writes that lies should be overlooked.  Until one realizes their truths, and deals with them, one on one, one by one...

flight will never come.

Because when the truths are truly realized?

There will be no reason to fly, at all.  Contentment and peace of mind will reign over flight, anytime.

Kellie, though self-healing must start from within, I believe it necessarily involves accepting that some wounds are meant to stay with us forever, to keep us from making the same mistakes over and over again. You will fly free only after you've accepted that you cannot escape yourself, at any altitude.
Wishing you well, as always, and hoping you will soon find your clear pathway and move forward.
