Whisper to me thy love in satin pure as lilies lie upon the dimpled pond. While willows wait the breath of your allure and faeries fly and seek a virgin frond. For in the glen where softest grasses grow and leaves of clover paint the meadow green, I stand and wait your lips as passions flow into the night of bluest moon’s soft sheen. And whence the time does come to slip away my hand from yours as gentle shadows fall A wish I leave of love left here to stay as once again I climb, transgress the wall. For battles waged lead thee to wait alone upon the ramparts high above the sea. And promises I leave as thee art shown this love shall never ebb of me for thee. Till oceans bring to thee the whitest foam and rivers run the crest into the sea. My heart shall beat for thee, not roam and wait to love again...again you’ll see. |

Barry "For battles waged lead thee to wait alone upon the ramparts high above the sea. And promises I leave as thee art shown this love shall never ebb of me for thee." I can see this like some art...on a wall that is held in high esteem in some long ago...because it's so special a sentiment. |

Barry, Chris stole the words right out of my mouth, as I read I thought "be still my beating heart". Such sweet beauty and tenderness. Mmmmmm, delicious. Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

Whisper to you? I belief she would be hard pressed to utter even a sound. I doubt that she could scarcely breathe after an outpouring of ardor such as this! Whisper? I think not. Gasp or moan ~ more likely... |

A beautifully penned 'promise', Magnus, my style of writing. Much enjoyed. And...now I know what a 'frond' is... CG |

My heart shall beat for thee, not roam and wait to love again...again you’ll see. ===================================== Beautiful romantic rhymes poet sir... its good to know this classic style of poetry is still held in respect. Lovely poetic declarations Barry. I would love to live as a river flows, carried by the surprise of its own unfolding. |

Magnus darling man, My word your writing as no other is pure beauty, the clarity of your writing, the beautiful combination of words and the way you enable me to see the image of love. It’s almost as if I can see it burst before my eyes. This had me totally entranced, truly exquisite and perfect writing, For battles waged lead thee to wait alone upon the ramparts high above the sea. And promises I leave as thee art shown this love shall never ebb of me for thee. Till oceans bring to thee the whitest foam and rivers run the crest into the sea. My heart shall beat for thee, not roam and wait to love again...again you’ll see. YOU, the writer of this utterly beautiful piece are as always incandescently wonderful, and yes I do speak truly. as always Mushy Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds |

Barry, this is such a beautiful and romantic poem. I love all your poems, but you know what a hopeless romantic I am. Hugs, Ethel |

Barry, this one is honestly for the annuls of classic literature. You have captured a spirit from the past and proven that it remains infinite. Very well done, Sir! -MVS You CAN make a difference, but first you should learn how: http://educate-yourself.org/intro.shtml |
