The Kiss of Evermore

I have kissed the face behind the mirror, a thousand times before.
On the other side you have wiped my tears, three years ago, or more.
Through this glass I can see your form, reaching a hand to me.
I asked for love and was given you, a reflection for Alice to see.

Opaque, you were in the Land Between, my glass of time, in touch.
A hopefulness, to know of warmth, inspiring words of such.
Your shadow played its hidden game, to tender me in tease.
You leave behind in window's fog, "I Love You" in lettered ease.

Each morning's rise brings me to you, backed in silvered glaze.
Rainbow streaks across the room as sun meets misted haze.
Colored you to soften wounds when stepped through cracks in time.
I asked for love, was given you, a rainbow hued in rhyme.

The land between belongs to one, no other can I embrace .
I end my days in The Glass of Time, in kiss of the mirrored face.

She looks at me, moisture flushed within the heat of thought.
Antagonized by watchful eyes, in lonely moments caught.
Collecting worth, the windsongs charge, behind the breath of need .
Reflection 'pon each morning wake, the spinning calmed in feed.

The color you, remains in sight, pressed to mirrors feel.
The understand goes hand in hand, in beveled edge of real.
Though corners chipped, in need repair, and voice speaks out of turn
The emptiness imagined not, absorbs in twist of yearn.

Between the layers,  prismed so, a silent write is left
To balance each the mind and heart behind this glass, bereft.
Guarding all there is to know, a reign in thoughts to please.
I resist, withhold the want, with every breath I seize.

This land between belongs to one, no other can I adore.
I end my days in The Glass of Time, in the kiss of "evermore".

I will always be
the face behind his mirror.

Lovely.

if you had written this any more perfectly, it would have been unbearable to read...the emotion would have been too overwhelming.

you managed to expose the need in every reader...

im keeping this

thank you
for such a wonderful experience

Oh Yes! where have you been? This is absolutely magnificent and as muted said...

if you had written this any more perfectly, it would have been unbearable to read...the emotion would have been too overwhelming.

Yes, I feel that too.

I'm keeping it.

P.S. more please.
