Worn

the tired in me can't resist
sitting here, still
listening to sounds of grass being cut
and breezes passing through windows
and thoughts going nowhere
circling above and below
rising and falling with each labored breath I take

knowing I should be doing
but lacking incentive
as I look out the window reflecting
on what is

and what isn't...
that push to endure
the wait of the past and the heaviness
that moods my thoughts
frustration when the warmth
is not caused by caring
but by the fever that rests in me

Yes M....I know that weight too and sometimes it is very heavy...
Here's hoping the weight is lifted soon.
Hugs.

Thank you Donna, I should have expected that soon after, my immune system would weaken my body enough to cause me to lack the energy and will to accomplish much this week.

Maureen, Just know that you are often in my thoughts...
and things will get better soon.
I know first hand how the stress of what has happened can mess up your physical health, so rest and drift right now...take your time.
Heart Hugs.
