Ground level dips soils erode hearts sink into tunnels scarser are pleasant thoughts someone else laughs up springs the wonderment of 'why me' depression dances with two other ghosts invisible to the eyes that see constant joy tangible for those mired in shame or guilt who ask why did I do this? Depression dances with ghostly damsels of guilt and shame dulls our mental grounds slinging mud on pleasant days the mud of nasty recollections clearer Sundays in the park saw none but man still asks how he gets so low how his conscience dips into wells of depression minus rope and pulleys of hope but someone else laughs friends vanish depression dances. Depression 'raises' its ugly head when there is an absence of Light in one's life. Many of our experiences can sap our energy ~ leaving us lost, vulnerable and without hope. I have found that by fanning the flames of even the tiniest spark of Light, it can eventually become a raging inferno that gets our mojos moving again! You skillfully ~ and poetically ~ portrayed the Depression Dance. Love & Lots of Light, Linda |
