She cries again the sad tears of her loss for life like an earthquake has shaken and rocked the foundation of calm built up in his arms. Walls stand at angles threatening to fall from corners that once symbolized more and columns of need stand bare and alone for a moment unsure how they have to be. She’s a women I’ve seen unable to choose, or refuse, or consider, or seek worthiness, but the shame is the lack of love for herself so long ago now dispatched like old toys to a large garbage bin of more meaningful times. And tears from the surface of improper needs retain the whiteness and brightness of eyes but to cry from the soul; how puffy and red are the eyes we must hide from onlookers. In the strange manner of dualistic needs life somehow decrees no tears should ere fall but rather remain in a dungeon unshed to aid the transmission of lies and ease the conscious mind of spectators and perpetrators. In the strange manner of only the soul whatever’s inside goes straight up outside but born on waves of emotional truth it merely lands on shores of disparagement and trickles away to erode the soul. And now I know the reason why people today always say, “Don’t cry”. |

susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

I suppose our tears are meant to be shed, but so often that acute sadness never leaves us. I've said it before and I'll say it again, your poetry is so near and dear to me. Hugs Helen~ |

Thanks for the read, Susan, but ... don't cry! Hi, Bluesy - Life has a way of offering temporary relief from acute sadness and we should be grateful for that. I'm beginning to think I'm the worst possible mind reader as I seem to have things a bit mixed up these days. I suppose, once again, life will come to the rescue and straighten me out. Look after you and thanks. |

Very nicely written. So sad. It always hurts to cry, but somehow, there is always a feeling of releace afterwards. It is not a sign of weekness for crying. If anything, it makes a person stronger. |
