Saturday is Calling...Why Am I Stalling?

I should be pulling weeds
not riding on this steed
of a chair from here to there
a flight of fancy through the air

but on second thought, the spot
that is needing it alot
is beneath the sprinkler’s spray
so I’d better keep away
‘til later in the day
when the sun has had more time
to dry it with its climb

for the breeze is mighty cool
when caught up within the drool
of water droplet throws
from my trusty garden hose.

Very cute, VAS. I understand. I've had to follow my own priorities for the last week and a half (and for a few more days still.... just taking a short break this morning).

Heck, it's a LONG weekend, Virginia...and who knows...that work can be hired out to some teenager who's gone back to school and will need some $$$ for his date...

Relish the weekends...they don't come often enough!

I worked on my yard on Friday so I wouldn't have to do it Saturday...looking at it this morning there is still more to do...but that can wait until next week...James
