There is a darkness outside my door, Begging me to come out and play And greet its denizens once more. Now a twilight hugs my window, Warning me of the coming of day And the disappearing of shadow. With sunlight shining on my eaves, Driving me to hide far away Deep within till the brightness leaves. Gloom A Triad is a set of three Tercets or three line poems. A Triad is Welch and/or Irish in origin and the Tercets tend to be enclosed, first and third lines rhyming. In mine here I also linked them, second lines all rhyming. Convention is that each stanza deal with a different aspect in the poem Such as dark, twilight, and light. |

Tomorrow, morn will rise me to its bright A hand to greet me through its double gates The day will loosen shadows' gray towards light Beneath the cloak will lie a beating heart The edge of which for touch of warmth it waits The forward walk of time in taste and art Medieval claims, the substance of the day Sir Knight and Lady Fair the mood creates The share of fantasy along paths way Lady Ollyne |

Ah, now, Professor, don't you think a day with the sun might bring about something you can't find in the darkness? *smile* Enjoyed! |
