Twenty Month Old Gardner By Larry Chadwick Robbie my brother a story from 1951 Robbie was just a little guy, Living in a diaper still. Went to play in grandpa’s garden, When he took a little spill. There are those who do not know, And think that it’s a weed. But this little guy did not care, He was just helping grandpa’s need. This little guy so small, Did not need to even bend. He just reached out and pulled, As hard as he could from one end. More successful than he dreamed, The stock broke off sooner then it “oughter”. As he toppled diaper, rhubarb and all, Right into the water. September 2, 2004 If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

giggling here... such a cute story! Where is the camera at moments like this? But then those memories are still captured(within our hearts), and we cherish them |

Now why is it I'm thinking that your bro is less impressed than the rest of us who're grinning? |

ahhhhhh rhubarb! I WANT SOME!!! You can't find it here in Houston. Dreams of Rhubarb Custard Pie.. mmmm.. and memories of sitting at the picnic table outside with a little pile of salt and a fresh stalk of rhubarb. (did I ever care that the birds ate there too?) ... among other things.. hehe ....hmmmmm you bring back childhood to me Larry C. and my first time mowing the lawn all by myself.. mom was mad that I accidently mowed down the new tulip shoots.. hehehehhahahah Remember me with a smile on your face, or please don't remember me at all. |
