It’s hard to break old habits, it’s something I can’t seem to do There must be something about me that makes people be untrue. You say one thing and do another-what’s that supposed to be? And once again it’s not your fault, it all comes back to me. I tried to get to know you, but all you did was play a game Saying you “didn’t promise anything,” so it’s only me to blame. You don’t even know the half of what I’ve been through, and yet you once again put me through it It doesn’t matter what you did or didn’t say-you acted like you’d never do it. Maybe someday you’ll open up your eyes and see there are people in the world besides you. Believe it or not, they have their issues, and we all have feelings too. I’m moving on from my own past-if you choose to cling to yours, that’s your decision But if you keep hanging on to it, it hurts worse than any incision. I’m sorry for whatever your issues are, but there’s nothing I can do. If you don’t want to help yourself, it’s all up to you. The future yet remains unseen, for you as well as me But my decision had to be made, this is the way it has to be. I won’t act like you’re a great guy because I never knew you at all In time you’ll learn a few things, and maybe you won’t fall. Maybe you’re the only one who can’t see you for who you are Goodbye to what I thought I knew, goodbye to my shooting star. Someday we may speak again, ‘til then I wish you the best And I guess I can say thank you for letting me have a rest. For some reason I don’t hate you, and as you go along your way Remember life happens for a reason, and everything will be ok. 8-29-2004 So you go and make it happen |

If they are truly someone we don't want to know or associate with...the trick is knowing the right time to let go...James |

Life's lessons are never easy... those who see the best of most situations are the ones that show true growth. Well done, Elizabeth. |
