Spent in filling my time until you may appear
are vague notions of clouds, an allowance of rain.
While the longer you linger, the more that I fear,
that you may become lost to forever remain

in the brilliance of sun-lit reflections of when,
there was love in the forecast of long afternoons,
as fair evenings' bright stars, on some alternate plane
sought to gather the dusk from the cusp of a moon.

With devotion that spans over eons of time,
through a landscape that's littered with intimate clues,
in your absence, each step, seems an infinite climb
in some abstract dimension, this much remains true.

Through this void you have crossed, you exist, it would seem,
in the fantasy stage of my interim dreams.

Ah...I've lived in those dreams before ...and also in bewilderment, perhaps I lived down the street from you and never knew it

I love the rhythm of this one, and the 'interim dreams' is a great phrase.  Excellent poem.

and this explains why you intimidate me--

and it seems that you, like Dali, attempt to capture YOUR dreams upon waking.

and I'd love to know why you edited, was it the second the last line? (I need to learn to save you edit happy poets!)

Enjoyed this much, although the finesse of your talent DOES give me writer's block!

But I'll get over it. I think.

hugs, Doc.

hoot,
Thanks. And then we wake up. That's why they're only interim dreams.
Doc

Pilgrimage,
Thank you. I'm glad you picked up on the phrase, a transitional state, as are most things.
Doc

serenity,
Intimidation was not my intent. I merely throw words out in such a way, that perhaps,
someone might be able to connect with some of them. Thanks,oh, and the edit thing was more than likely just a typo, I edit constantly over an ten hour time frame before posting.
Doc

LeeJ,
Thanks. Not sure about that, but, it sounds good. May I quote you when the publishers finally catch on ?
