Chance Meeting
By Paul Wilson

Shall we dance this dance
among the stars and moon
Might we temp fate
as angels play lovers tune

A glance of eyes
in chance of blush
Gentle heartbeats
change to rush

A meeting of chance
fate gifted to us
Tender hearts learning
how too trust

The night is young
or so it seems
A million dances shared
a lifetime of endless dreams

The moon quietly hides
it’s face in tender weep
Angels sing their lullaby
as you fall asleep

Moments shared in time
between you and I
Lifetime spent together
now we say goodbye

This carries the beauty of two who knew what it was to "be together" and I'm with passing shadows

it is always sad to see such love end- even if it is only a pause in the breath of existence - and even if it is only fictional-
