Dead Quiet

Even my heart beat is absent
the silence a pleasure, the throbbing feel
having lost its appeal
and the body listening for any restirring
that might bring on its return.

Silence is music to my ears
on a day when the body wants
to dance out of its skin
and move to a higher level of knowing,
where the answers are without question.

My reflection folds upon itself
farewell thoughts to yesterday
while cross stitching tomorrow's dreams,
these thoughts so naked they are almost
transparent needing a voice over
to make them heard.

My fever reigns, though lower than normal
and I nest within myself searching
for that comfort hold, that inherent feeling
that is a principle to my being.
I am disobedient to my wants
as I hold back my surrender on days like this.

OMG this was brilliant, there were so many plays on words, holding attention all the way through, not one line to pick from as they were all speaking volumns...wonderfully penned.
