Counting On Your Thoughts

I remember when you said
I would be hearing from you
So I held on to the promise
With hope it would come true

With the need to reach you
Seven days before I depart
Would I hear before I leave
I am wishing with all my heart

Whilst I was thinking of you
Your words mean so much
As I count on your thoughts
Hoping we never lose touch

To share as friend to friend
It gave me reason to write
I only hope you remember
Its only days before my flight
