A Single Tear

Beautiful in its essence
Crystal clear reflections
Shimmering in subtle light
Delicate, fragile, ethereal

And yet . . .

Within its minuscule scale
It holds the weight of the world
The toll upon soul
Heavy in its fall
Bursting upon its end
A sacrifice shed

Tears are the essence of everything we hold and don't say or can't manage to put to words. The crys explain the pain of life. Sorrow concealed within a tear falling from one escaping harsh realities after realizing them in their totality is beautiful that one could love the opposite of that which pains what they are - A person which is people.
