Just for today, please do not put a mirror directly in front of me, for I do not want to see my 3D reality. One dimension is more than enough. The skin I’m in is stretched too thin to bear any more even if I care; I’ve more than my share of stretch marks already. Give my allotment of attention to someone who is more flexible, resilient, bendable... more Gumby-and-Pokey-like. For the world today just doesn’t play with the same rule book I’ve chosen, and I’m afraid I’ll be the big loser in this worldly game of monopoly. So keep the mirrors away from me please, at least for the rest of today, so I won’t have to see my pain when there is little hope for gain. It’s enough to suffer the feel of it. Tomorrow, it will all begin again; perhaps I’ll feel up to growling then. |

Kacy, So how about today? You feelin' feisty now? Come on baby, bring it on, one more time... If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

This is not one of your "tilt at windmills" writes, but it is neat to see another dimension of you. Nicely done. KJ Through rubble and trouble and dark of night |

Kacy lady, you are a winner in the big game and in my book -- there will never be only one dimension to you either unless it's one of love. Great poem, though, and I know how you feel ... just don't let it get you down too much, 'kay? *hugs you* .......jo |

thanking each of you, my friends Ken? LOL, I might not understand that reply as you meant it. I saw myself flapping arms in the wind, trying to warn everyone of impending doom...and then, with my finger in the proverbial dyke, trying to plug the wholes of loss...of humanity's conscience. Enlighten me. |

Hmmm...maybe I missed your point. I know of your themes against world idiocy, but thought this spoke of your own human vulnerablitiy. Always a pleasure to read you. |

Oh God Kacy, in me head missy . . . Sideways Glance in the Mirror The lines wrought in plaster cracked and dry upon my walls have always been there. Sometimes not so noticable beneath twenty or so coats of paint, but today they seem to be screaming into my auditory canal causing my ears to bleed with envy . . . |

OK, kiddo, so all you gotta do is put those headphones on, and dark shades, and dance to your favorite tunes...and ignore the layers of painted plaster. |
