You
Drew a line and dared me to cross over
I
Drew a line and dared you to fall in love with me
We
Met in the middle

Climbing into cupboards eating false alarms
Tears ran down the cheeks of summer’s womanhood
Hitting the breaks hard, like a change of life cramp

We, heard the wings of hummingbirds
Ate tubs of key lime pie…

On the canvas of pretty boned lopes and prances
Showing our best true selves…playfully naked
We were hot-shots in California Life Styles
Looking for new graffiti of our own
With brilliant ruby hues according to family legends
Stoking the belly of full moons
Listening to the trees and their fraternity
With breezes which cursed me…you…us

I’m so sorry
there is no pain, like the guilt of hurting
someone, dissappointing them...

are you sorry you crossed over?

Love these lines.  The whole write was a treat. You've quite the way with words.

Most certainly a fine write.  I could feel
and see it all within the unfolding of the
moments as they passed my eyes.  Well done

Wow, Lee!

I really loved the way you wrote this.  An abundance of images appeared as I read your words.

Take care.......Sue

i like how you laid it all on the line with blatant honesty and questioning throughtout amid the beautiful images
