I felt a weight had been lifted
As my words were unfurled
I opened my heart to strangers
And shared my thoughts with the world

I received the warmest welcome
Friendly faces were abound
A place of warmth and comfort
My rightful place had been found

I was in awe at all the talent
And I lost all track of time
As I immersed myself in poetry
And my great love of rhyme

I read words of love and romance
And those of sadness and grief
So many words tugged at my heartstrings
Feelings so real, beyond belief

We have so much in common
Through your words, so much I see
As we expose our deepest feelings
And share our love of poetry

sue, this was marvelous...before I started writing had a difficult time articulating, now you cannot shut me up...suppose that's why my poems are sometimes even long winded...who cares right...long as we express...and share...what a lovely song you've written here, thank you
