Are we not amazing? Depths of untold reach Extending beyond ability to comprehend New layers exposed as old layers peel Casting off the “was” And embracing the “are” Wondering what is to “come” Fascinating, the soul So rich in its textures So frightening in its capacities Powerful beyond imagining A force to be reckoned with Be it good or evil And all of that, our choice Our choice We’re back to amazing Amazing because it is our choice What we make of this life What we choose to become Who we choose to become It is our choice Be we victim or hero s.a.t. Forgive me if I seem to be waxing philosophical of late . . .must be the change in the weather and the season.  Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

Yes, choice...that one word that is often left out of an excuse for a bad "choice"... How easy it is for some to allow the tongue to speak of others and their influence in our decision process... Takes but a second to cast the stone, and but a lifetime to catch it... Excellent write Susan...good thinker... |

Thank you Marge, Barry and Vandana - I think I was trying to convey that we all have a choice of who and what we become - given most circumstances. And yes, Barry, people forget this, I think, and wish to say it is someone elses fault, that they weren't given a choice. I was trying to convey the hope of the fact that it is we, ourselves, who get to choose, and as such, we are empowered as to our destinies. Does this make sense?
