Seeking the swiftest western flight
under protective cloak of magical midnight
she finds herself settling for shallower ground
below the highest peaks, where she silently seeks
a safe moment of time to gather resolve,
and the strength to pursue
a dream of freedom.

On a pathway cluttered with death’s debris,
some days she cannot seem to see
any signs of hope from humanity.
So I hold out my hand,
wanting to offer her a glimpse
of an earthly promised land,
where she may be free to play all day
the way all God’s children should.

I remember hearing long ago,
"Suffer the little children."

And I still must ask,

why?

I am a believer that all children have angels sent by God to protect them...suffering is especially tough on the youth, but it also makes one stronger and builds faith in God, perhaps that is His goal........Beautifully written and heartfelt

Kacy~
In all lands there is the suffering of children ... at times more intensely visible to us ... but at all times felt within the hearts of guardians and keepers~

You, dear lady, bring it to light for us to reflect upon~

Prayers ... prayers~

Yes, why?  This subject, the suffering of little children, it always tears my heart.  Though I do not believe the verse in the bible meant a child to suffer as we see the children experiencing today.  It is Man's own doing, this horror.  I do not understand hearts that can turn a blind eye to the consequences of their averice.

The children of all ages
Need wisdom from the sages,
Whilst all the world rages
And life is lived in cages.

We yearn, howe'er, for hope,
The means to somehow cope.
Do leaders live on dope?
I sit and sadly mope.

Always enjoy your latest sally at human fraility and fragility.  Ken

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

passing shadows
