I threw my Dad's bronc saddle, In the back of my old truck. I shook my Grandad's calloused hand, And kissed my Mom for luck... I said, "I'd like to stay and help, But I've just got to go." He said, "I guess it's in the blood, We have to rodeo." That was sixteen years ago, I drove out of the yard. I guess I've made a living- But lifes been mighty hard. A million miles of winding road, And all of it's been rough. I guess if I had any sense, I'd say I'd had enough. I think I'm good for one more year; At least I hope that's true. Cause when I hang it up for good- What am I gonna do? |

Did ya ever ride up north Kansas way? Perhaps in Strong City, or at Abiline? Or under the lights down at Pretty Prairie, Atop Rumford stock, rank bulls fightin' mean? |
