My heart sings not in voice of tune
But in a place I’ll meet too soon
It sings not in the cord of peace
But loudly longing for release

But only echoes do return
As what I long is sent to burn
No one seems to hear my plea
As heart does sing, but just to me

There’s loneliness that can consume
But I try not to give it room
Happiness is state of mind
But sometimes that state’s hard to find

Life’s a teacher and a swine
A battle fought or love divine
An interim for what’s still to be
The testing ground for you and me

So I try to believe in life
That all that’s good out ways the strife
And weather we believe or not
We should feel blessed for what we’ve got

heartfelt rhyme speaking of the twilight years and the sometimes grey smother of clouds...and yet, in those clouds there is something, something deranged and glorious, which captures the soul wordless, pure threading wool comforters.
