"I’ve nothing more to offer you." You whispered as you walked slowly past the bed. I propped my head up in my hands and said, "You’ve already given me what I needed most." "But I haven’t given you what you asked for." And as you sighed, sinking onto the edge of the bed, I propped myself up and said, "But you’ve given me what I wanted most." When every second counts, stop counting. |
