Lovers Rendezvous
Wet touches familiar face silently like tiny tears Thoughts formed in a magic place bring to mind forgotten years
Soft grass bends beneath bare feet walking in this forest glen Running deer escape so fleet baby foxes seek their den
As gentle winds kiss green leaves mind remembers song caress In her soul she still believes a gift from the heart does bless
Shadow walks ahead, unclear parting walls of cloud that’s formed Shines on ageless face, so dear in a mist of love transformed
Time does not burn off what was a fantasy woven true As birds sing and when bees buzz the lost lovers rendezvous
