Fire, Earth, Water, Air, and a Vijay Day
To find one’s self in churned, soft mixtures for noise will be what it is, as all above will carry one forward Fire, Earth, Water, Air.
So long live life, I decree to air, without water, no blood will run, fire will ash, earth will dust and one will be, beyond repair.
Such are thoughts that live within me; time and click are much too much ~ so find I shadows that will embrace me and I? Encompass Oh Such Touch!
Listen to the chirp of redbird, clicking chirp outside my ledge earth, and water, and air are hers, no need of fire for her to hedge.
Yet all around me I feel the signs of varied windows in this universe for as I talk to my own mind I find rhyme of soul, yet unrehearsed.
I do not mean to rhyme myself, my meter is such, it’s beyond repair, and yet with lesser thought I give, these words would seem, indeed, despair.
All I know is what I see, in shade and in such light, are shadows that would, and will me keep ~ I will try new things in hopeful ways that would make an average human weep.
For here is edge of verse, and I? With no one to stay me away, I found a vision in a dream, as Vijay stood his day, I watched things I do not normally see, Because some friends are so rare; I thought I would enlighten my own way, Because some geese rode upon the air; So watch, did I, a game of play, of Kings and common Men compared; One would think I entered a realm Of gilt, silver, gold, and Ra.
Shadows of swift light were long, sun stood within one’s eyes it seemed to me the waters ran though lightning filled no skies
and mine own thoughts flickered here, and there, to yesterday and beyond and I, in song of game well played learned of desires in yet a new way.
Fire, Earth, Water, Air… All sustain with no compare.

KJ, you write free verse better than most I know....and you are right, your meter has a little way to go yet...
Loved this one, and yes...it was a Vijay day, wasn't it....I missed it...toiling under the house....my wife moved the dog house......under the house now....so, I had to move my computer and run an extension cord outside and under the house...
Just kidding!!!

No matter what you write ~ or the form in which you may choose to write it ~ you have my rapt attention! Your words always sing to my soul.
May your day reflect the beauty of your soul!

I enjoy the way you expand on 'elemental' aspects here... I absorb more with repeated reading, and that I like very much.
Who or what is "Vijay", may I ask?

Among the inabilities expressed, Within your writing so bedecked and dressed, Are thoughts you can't say 'thout we be impressed As sun and joy pour freely from your breast.
Always a pleasure to read you, Sunshine (I was also glad to read of Vijay's triumph, I like to see the glory spread around.)Through rubble and trouble and dark of night The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

Unfortunately, in my world of golf there is more water than earth!!
This is wonderful writing, sunshine. In a land where Tigers rule and Love wins much of the time, it's nice to see the super nice guys land on top on occasion...

How can this be topped? Enjoyed very much. Poor rhyme in that first verse, Shadows of swift lift,--I beg to differ!!! Love it.
