They’re all the same, they say, those moisturizing creams purported to bestow on us new skin of satin sheen. They’re not the same, the others say, and equate them to a soul individually made ready wrapped, labeled and shipped, with no return address to this reality. And the world is in business, a retail statement made, and we proceed to barter for the simple fun of it and try each and every one for the simple feel of them. But only one can penetrate to where moisture is made, only one can stimulate the manufacturing process, and only one can leave an everlasting glow. I cream and I cream and, of course, I dream but there never is enough to smooth away the rough or chase away the dryness in my land, South Africa. They’re all the same, they say, but I like what others say for it only takes one special one to creep under my skin then travel from the bottom up towards a lasting glow! |
