The infestation spreads Like a plague Across my country. It's march, relentless In greening my land. Acre after acre The native succumbs, To the relentless march Of the money tree. Pine trees, Bloody pine trees. As far as The eye can see, Pine trees. Nothing, But bloody pine trees, And your voice echo's, Better than no trees. And your voice echo's, As the native suffocates Beneath the needles. |

I do understand this one, as I've spent some hours in several states, trying to eradicate invasive species which take over the native flora (and fauna!) Trees are beautiful, and green is one of my favorite colors, but it's a shame when they overrun the natives. Hmm, similar to what people have been known to do. |

Midnite sun, iliana, passing shadows, Thank you for reading, vast tracts of land are being gobbled up each year with pine trees, the speed with which it is being done is obscene. |

nakdthoughts, Well thats another problem with planting all the pine trees. They eventually cut them all down and the resulting look is one of total devastation. |

Thanks for sharing - something I didn't know. But I have seen the needled floor with absolutely nothing growing but the trees. I didn't realize it could become a problem though. |

It's march, relentless In greening my land. Acre after acre The native succumbs, To the relentless march Of the money tree. oh how utterly beautiful...I would be happy as a clam, to live as far away from society as possible, deep within the woods, just so long as an beach was withing driving distance Could you imagine, living at the base of the mountain in your picture? What a jewel of a life it would be. Tremendous write and picture |

Copperbell, pines are an introduced species, if the natives could grow beneath them it wouldn't be a problem. Thank you for reading. |

Lee J, Worst case scenario in this country is a 2.5 hour drive to a beach, your dream is easy to achieve here. |
