I watched shadows
of cottonwood
dapple sanctum walls
with yesterday's
early evening sun...
and a rainbow or two
from crystals hanging
made splendid
my thoughts of
dappling...

but your poem
hits home.

This made me think of a time when I was a child and my Mother and I went to visit a neighber who had a dappled grey mare, and my asking, "what does dappled mean?" Much appreciated your explanation, Martie! Have a good weekend.
