Love At First Sight

When the first time my eyes upon Her fell —
What tremors shook deep within my might
No reason would explain, no words could tell —
But the deep tremors of love at first sight.

She stood in the doorway — yet I saw naught
But Her smile; that beacon of light that shone
In the blackness of my night, and so wrought
Onto my soul the blaze of a new dawn.

Oh Lord, how could such unexpected hand
Drive the flaming spear of love so deep
Within my heart; to burn and sear its brand
Into that face of yearning, crimson keep...

Then She said “Yes” — and many years hence
Her “Hello” will greet through the doorway frame;
That spear of long ago had pierced the fence
And unsealed the gate for love's eternal flame.

What game does fickle Fate play with the hearts
Of men; when one does seek - he shall not find;
But what Fate ordains in heavens charts
Will a Man and a Woman through ages bind.

The very last paragraph was a life of events which unfold into the unperfect perfection, which is of time's owned events. Simply stunning read and write.
