I've experienced all emotions,
From despair to jubilation.
I've loved with every ounce of me,
And cried tears of pure elation.

I have purred like a kitten,
Been demure in my demeanor.
I've roared like a lioness,
And been proud and a preener.

I've known fear and desperation,
I've been hot beneath the collar.
I've sung with spirits soaring high,
Then been mad enough to holler!

I've felt righteous indignation,
I've felt frustration and known joys.
I've yearned for greener pastures,
And abhorred unjust employs.

I've been calm and mellow-jello,
I've been stoked and electrified.
I have wallowed in my miseries,
And felt smugly justified.

I've known pain and I've known sorrow,
I've known envy and I've known lust.
I've been reckless and an adventurer,
Been insecure in my distrust.

I've felt confident and mighty,
I've felt inadequate and slow.
I've felt that I could fly on high,
Then I've sunk to depths below.

I've been known to be a worry wart,
Then I'm singing, "Que Sera",
Sometimes I'm very cool and calm,
Sometimes my nerves are raw.

I often feel so knowing,
Intelligent and bright,
Then I fear I may have lost my mind,
And am ready for a fight!

But all of these emotions,
Have taught me many things.
And none of us is perfect,
For only angels merit wings.
