My Sister Made Me Cry (repost for Enchantress's birthday) |

 There is something I must tell you all My sister made me cry last week I was just fine till the first tear kissed my cheek. What had I done to deserve such a shock? How I wished she lived closer, For upon her door I would knock!! But, miles they do part us We don't see enough of each other. Now she has done this, and heartfelt sobs I do smother. She has been more than "big sister" But, my best friend she is too. Without her to count on, I don't know what I'd do. So why would Enchantress make tears fall from Nightshade? She wasn't upset with me - Nor I with her. She sensed what I needed - Oh, that's just so like her!! You see, she sent me a card All about sisterly love With it pressed to my heart I thanked the heaven's above - "Excuse me Lord, your attention I seek." "Thankyou for my dear sister." "She made me cry last week." ~*~*~*~ . . love you Nancy Lee !! Happy Birthday !!!! |

Well now it is for this very reason I felt so deprived my entire life. No one to fight with, hug, get cards from, etc. Of all the things I have been given over the years, had I received one gesture as sweet as this, I have to tell you my life would surely be complete. Chris, I felt tears well up in my eyes as I read this because this is exactly the same situation as me with both my sisters. My little sis (miscellanea) is about 1700 miles from me and the most we have communicated in years is here on this site (so I'm particularly grateful for it). I sure miss my family and your poem expressed those sentiments so well. I know our Enchantress must be having a wonderful birthday with a sweet sister like you making it so special! to you both |

Chris, I am certain that this is a keeper for you and Nancy both. Certainly should be. I know what it is like to see a sibling so infrequently...My brother and I live about 3000 miles apart.... but this wonderful internet keeps us in touch... Even on birthdays...though sometimes I wish he were the oldest!!! (NOT).... |
