Do you hear me calling through the rain did you see me drowning in your pain were together just the other day, yesterdays gone it passed away. Laying here found an empty space kept hand in sight feeling your last place why did you have to go away you took my heart and soul with you that day. Stepped through dreams tracing your escape found the ring you made promises laced engraved within the band didn’t I see you place it on your hand? Why did you throw away my hopes of togetherness? flung into the deserts where loneliness crawled not thirsting for water but love from afar hurt by closeness been single and hopeless. Till heart mends together like the breakable jigsaw time and time again will shatter to pieces at the gentle blown fumes of hatred. The world only meets you half way take chances be hurt or tomorrow you might regret what you didn’t have yesterday. |
