to find one another

how can we alone find one another,
when we don't know where to look.
spending lives, and sometimes more,
and never really finding each other at all.

to live an eternity without ever knowing,
what lies ahead of us, trying to forget the past.
gazing toward new horizons, with renewed spirit,
only to come back to reality to see that the past overshadows the future.

hand in hand past and future walk,
unbeknownst in which direction they are going.
forward or backward, to or fro,
where does it lead us in our quest to find one another.

do we drift further apart, or closer together,
do we drown in our own sea of agony at what was, or is or will be.
we found each other once, and we shall find each other again,
but did we really ever lose each other, or just close our eyes for a while.

Hope you didn't lose each other, that you indeed just closed your eyes for a while. It is so easy to do. This was lovely Mojar

The last stanza was awesome...

isis, jenny, and michael, i sometimes feel belittled by some of the work created by the three of you, and for you to comment the way you do really uplifts myself and i sure others as well. thank you so much.
