i sit alone and try to hear, the sounds, as they go by. there is nothing comes to me, no matter how i try. lovely voices, fall from trees, shared by all the birds. drifting freely on the breeze, a sound i never heard. to sit beside the waters edge, and watch the gentle tide. waves lap up about my feet, the sound to be denied. to lay me head across your chest, and not hear the steady beat. to have never heard the sound of love, such a bittersweet defeat. the sounds of silence comfort me, and cause me pain as well. but can you hear the words i speak, there's no sound that i can tell. me. |

This is daggy and I'm embarrassed to ask this.. but is this in your mind you can't hear or physically??? Knowing this I would know how to respond better. But I will add this... To lay my head across your chest, And not hear the steady beat. To have never heard the sound of love, Such a bitterswwet defeat. Very poignant to me.... Well Done Jenny Lee Love is an attempt at penetrating another being,But it can only succeed if the surrender is mutual. |

my dear isis no apology necessary, when i wrote this i wondered how many would see it as that or how many would actually see through it into the heart. but i thank you very much for understanding it. mo. |

I was going through some older poems to see what I might have missed. I don't know how I did miss this one. It is simply beautiful like the rest of yours are. I espeacially liked the lines The sounds of silence comforts me and cause me pain as well So true. As you have heard me, I have heard you. |
