looking back on days gone by,
my thoughts return to you.
i never should have let you go,
it makes my heart so blue.

your love for me was not to be,
i wanted it so bad.
so i will treasure our time together,
and the memories that we had.

like a bird that flies out from the nest,
it's time to spread your wings.
and find the love that you deserve,
in your heart rejoice and sing.

i will always find a peace of mind,
just knowing that you cared.
and i know that you will never forget,
the happiness that we shared.

to my angel.

This was very sad for me to read....as I have just learned to do without a love I had wanted and needed so....but the time comes to let go and that I did. Still hurts, but I am better for the sharing than to have never shared at all. Nice Work

Beautifully written ambuman. It takes an incredible person to wish happiness to the love they lost.
